Oh Deviant Art, I knew you when you were young and full of ideas, inspiration and you were so new that you sparkled. At that time you knew me under another name, and four years ago you came to know me as who I am today: a wistfulwanderer. I come back occasionally and look at the art that I have uploaded to your site, and I see a progression and I am vaguely proud of it.

But it has been a long time since I have felt compelled to upload artwork, or create brand new flashy art to submit to the site. A creative ebb and flow has not been present in my life for over a year. It’s slowly coming back, but mostly with photographs. Sadly, 90% of which I do not believe will ever see the light of day.

I just want to thank you for being here, during the time that I wanted share my artwork with other people. During a time I sought to meet other artists and learn what it is that inspires them to create amazing, dark and beautiful art. Said art has impacted me repeatedly over the years.

To those who followed me: I still adore you so very much. You are my inspiration! I encourage you to do fantastic things, or art that shocks people; but most importantly, do it for yourself.

It may be a long time before I do art for myself and even longer before I consider submitting art here again. I wish you all well. Good luck.
